Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)

PRSA is the world’s largest organization for public relations and communications professionals with over 20,000 members worldwide. Organized into more than 100 Chapters, members represent business and industry, technology, counseling firms, government, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and non-profit organizations. The primary objectives of the organization are to advance the standards of the profession and to provide members with professional development opportunities through a series of continuing education activities, information exchange programs, and research projects conducted on national and local levels. Membership requires that its members and its organizations adhere to the principles of the Code of Professional Standards. PRSA builds the public relations profession and the public relations professional in the three core areas of: Advancing the Profession, Strengthening the Society and Establishing Global Leadership

American Marketing Association

The American Marketing Association (AMA) is the largest marketing association in North America. It is a professional association for individuals and organizations involved in the practice, teaching and study of marketing worldwide. It is also the source that marketers turn to every day for information/resources, education/training and professional networking. AMA members are connected to a network of experienced marketers nearly 40,000 strong and include leading marketing academics, researchers and practitioners from every industry.

AMA offers highly acclaimed seminars, workshops and Hot Topic events focused on the immediate needs of marketers, as well as trends shaping the future. Connecticut Technology Council

The Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) is a statewide association of technology oriented companies and institutions, providing leadership in areas of policy advocacy, community building and assistance for growing companies. Ira Yellen is on the board of directors, executive committee, and chair, communication and marketing committee.

Hartford Foundation for Public Giving — Catalyst Fund

Ira Yellen is a member and donor to the Catalyst Fund, a member donor designated group, that funds special social programs in the Greater Hartford Region


Ira Yellen is a Donor and member of the public relations and marketing committee to help Foodshare garner as much media and publicity for their food and fund raising events during the year.


Ira Yellen is a member of the Angel Investor Forum, a CT based angel group, that helps start up companies in early round financing to grow and counsel them to be successful companies in the long-term. He is also an advisor the Yale Entrepreneur Institute, an university-based program to assist Yale students in creating products as start up companies.


Ira Yellen is the managing partner made up of seasoned investors, counselors and business development specialists that seek out companies who want to design a growth plan and exit strategy.

United Way of the Central and Northeastern Connecticut

Ira Yellen and staff are donors to the regional United Way. Ira is also on the marketing advisory committee that provides counsel on major marketing and public relations initiatives.

Leadership Greater Hartford

Ira Yellen is a past board member and participant in the Quest program that created the Third Age Program for 50 plus retirees or seniors. Also, Sheri Mathieu and David Kluskiewicz participated in LGH programs in the past. Leadership Greater Hartford is one of the foremost community based leadership training programs in the United States.

Glastonbury Education Foundation

Ira Yellen is a past Founder and Chair of the Glastonbury Education Foundation that supports programs and projects that would not be funded by tax payer dollars. During the first 5 years over $450,000 was raised for various  purposes that include creating a state of the art television digital studio in the High School.
